*****

In 2021, a young and talented Journalist sat down with me at a local coffee shop and asked me to tell her my story. My fight long before cancer, my warrior battle against rare terminal cancer twice and then starting UCAAN and the journey that continued.  Thank you Makena Huey for the remarkable article!

We are beyond thankful for the testimonials included by a local family helped by UCAAN, The Nobles; as well as our dear friend and long volunteer Jessica Brandonisio! Enjoy the article friends, as much as we did!

Featured Testimonial

Carol Cramer Parks was one of the many survivors who received our Share the Hope Jewelry from our Personal Fundraising Program. Here's a Message from her Daughter Chris Cramer-Sfetku:

"A Wonderful woman, Rachel Shur who runs UCAAN, a non-profit organization that helps people with cancer, reached out to me on Facebook when she saw a post I put about my mom. Rachel is amazing and made these fundraising pendants, especially made for my mom Carol Cramer Parks. They include a dog, camping and a camp fire because those are a few of my mom's favorite things.

We're selling them to raise funds for my mom and Rocky's (Carol's dog with cancer) medical bills and expenses including home care, cleaning and her cremation when she passes. These are her worries and I want to do all I can to help her. We're thankful for UCAAN's Support. This fundraiser will also allow us to fulfill my mom's bucket list.

I can't begin to tell you how amazing Rachel Shur & UCAAN Are, thanks to what they did for my mom.

IF YOU EVER WANT TO DONATE......This Organization is REALLY WORTH IT!"

UCAAN Small Business Award

It's the small businesses in our community that find a way to support us even through a pandemic, that we feel the need to award them for their generosity and support!

We would like to congratulate Linda Coburn of Pedego 101 Electric Bikes in Westlake Village for being the first to receive our 2020 UCAAN Supporting Business Award!

You stepped it up and showed your support by hosting our annual gift wrapping service as a pop-up at your location. We are extremely grateful for your love and support!

❤

We hope that in the future more small businesses decide to support the small but mighty, UCAAN. United Cancer Advocacy Action Network !

Pedego Electric Bikes did it again and Supported UCAAN with a pop-up Gift wrap location in 2021 and they were once again awarded Supporting Business of the Year. Their hard work helped UCAAN bring in an additional $1000 in funding last holiday season! We're beyond thankful to have such amazing friends in the community, including all of our donors that came out to Westlake to get their gifts wrapped!
